Alla Ryashentseva has been active in legal advisory and litigation since 2005, advising on a broad range of matters and handling disputes before state courts, including in foreign jurisdictions.
Prior to joining the firm, Alla headed the excess loss litigation practice at one of the largest Russian insurance companies.
Alla has in-depth litigation expertise that includes all stages of case handling, from the development of effective litigation tactics to direct representation in court proceedings.
She brings extensive experience in managing large and complex claims across both pre-litigation and court phases. Her insurance practice covers fire and property damage, machinery breakdown, business interruption, financial and entrepreneurial risks, mortgage insurance, marine cargo and hull, reinsurance, and more. In addition, she regularly represents clients in high-value commercial disputes.
Alla has acted in proceedings before major permanent arbitral institutions, including the Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations.

Selected experience
- Russian subsidiary of an international bank – representing the client in a cross-border dispute concerning securities obligations, including matters concerning the application of US and EU sanctions regimes. Damages amounted to USD 30m.
- Major international hotel operator in Russia – successful defence in arbitration proceedings. Damages amounted to RUB 400m.
- Russian National Reinsurance Company – representing the client in a dispute over the recovery of insurance compensation in connection with an accident at a Russian metallurgical plant. Damages amounted to RUB 7.5bn.
- AlfaStrakhovanie – comprehensive representation of the client’s interests in a dispute over the recovery of insurance indemnity under a property insurance agreement following a major fire at a warehouse in the Moscow region. Damages exceeded RUB 5 bn.
- ENERGOGARANT Insurance Company – Representing a client in a dispute over damages related to a major fire in the Moscow region. The damage amounted to RUB 3.3bn.
- Russian insurance company– represented a client in a claim brought by Chubb Insurance Company to recover losses by way of subrogation in connection with the accident at the Berezovskaya GRES power plant. The damage amounted to RUB 26.1bn.
- Russian insurance company– represented a client in a claim brought by Lloyd’s Syndicates to recover reinsurance compensation in connection with an air crash in 2012. The damage amounted to USD 7.7m.
- Russian insurance company – represented a client in the High Court of London in a comprehensive case seeking recognition and enforcement of a Russian court judgements to recover reinsurance compensation from Lloyd’s Syndicates in connection with an air crash in 2012. Damages amounted to USD 16.5m.
- Russian insurance company – represented a client in a claim brought by a foreign vessel owner under English and Panamanian law. Damages amounted to RUB 179m.
